Conditions of Use
The HSR wireless network ("wifi") is provided for the convenience of our guests. While we take great measures to ensure the consistent reliability and performance of the network, the network is provided "as is" and with no guarantees. In addition, use of this network is subject to the policies of Chester County Council. Acceptable uses under these policies are summarized in the Acceptable User Policy ("AUP"), which will be displayed when first connecting to the network. All user are required to accept this AUP prior to being allowed on the network.

Wireless Standards
Wireless standards are often called by the names "G", "N", "AC", "AX" to name a few. To access the network you need to be using a device that supports a compatible wireless standard. To determine which standards your device supports, refer to your manufacturer's documentation, usually under the "Specifications" section.
Compatible Standards
- 802.11n (Wifi 4)
- 802.11ac (Wifi 5)
- 802.11ax (Wifi 6)

Captive Portal
The Horseshoe Scout Reservation network utilizes a captive portal system to control access to the wireless network and ensure user compliance with the acceptable use policies. Devices connecting to the network will need to be compatible with, and able to navigate, a web-page based captive portal.
Generally speaking, any device with a web-browser should be compatible with the captive portal.
